Icheghe was shot dead by unknown persons near the entrance gate into his house at Ughelli, Delta State at about 9.30pm on Thursday, April 16.
In a strongly worded statement over the weekend, Alegeh condemned the killing and vowed that the association would not rest on its oars until the “perpetrators of this dastardly act are brought to book.”
He therefore urged the police to ensure that investigation into the matter unravel the circumstances of the killing as well as persons responsible for it.
“We will not allow this killing and indeed other killings to remain unresolved,” he said.
 He added: “The Nigeria Police Force and indeed all law enforcement agencies should take immediate steps to address these current security challenges to stem the increasing number of unresolved killings and other violent activities in our country,” he said.
