Alexander Emmanuel

The author of ‘Omo’ and ‘The Diary of a Boy Soldier’, Alexander Emmanuel Ochogwu, is set to release his third novel, ‘Scarlet’.

Scheduled to be released on June 22, ‘Scarlet’ “a post-apocalyptic story set in ancient Kikiyuland of Central Kenya, reenacts the recurrent power play amongst principalities and its attendant consequences on mankind.”

An excerpt from the book reads: “Denka causes a stir at the annual Ngwiko Rite of Passage Ceremony in Virgin Land. Those who throng the venue of the procession to watch her performance during the ‘One Bone Dance’ competition have no inkling that her lips bear the tinder that would spark off the Day of Scarlet; the day for revealing of the fate of Good and Evil.”

Ochogwu is a Flight Lieutenant in the Nigerian Air Force. In 2018 he released two books, ‘Omo’, the story of a fourteen-year-old Nigerian girl who travels over six thousand miles back to correct one mistake, and a sequel to ‘The Diary of a Boy Soldier’.
