A member representing Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency in Gombe State, Hon. Ali Isa JC, has won the All Progressives Congress (APC) primary election, securing the party’s ticket for the 2027 general elections.
In a statement issued after the primary held on Saturday, the lawmaker described the outcome as confirmation that his earlier endorsement as consensus candidate by the party stakeholders was as a result of his track record during his two terms in the National Assembly.
Isa JC thanked APC members in Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency for turning out in large numbers and finding him worthy and capable of flying the party’s flag.
According to him, the landslide win validated the trust placed in him by the party leaders and his constituents.
“The direct primary followed demands by some aspirants for a direct primary process after the initial consensus arrangement did not favour them. To ensure justice, the party leadership acceded to the request by creating a level playing field for all aspirants.
“To God be the glory, I have just emerged victorious by landslide in the primary election. With this victory, I want to assure our party once again that I will work steadfastly with all members and leadership of the party to make sure that we win the 2027 general elections at all levels,” he said.
Isa Jc extended a hand of fellowship to his opponents, urging them to join forces in the interest of the party and the constituency.
“We can always win together and collectively bring peace, unity, and prosperity to our people as our common goal,” he added.
The lawmaker also expressed appreciation to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, the APC National Working Committee, and the State Working Committee for ensuring a free and fair process.
He further pledged to continue delivering infrastructure and human development projects across the constituency if re-elected.
Our correspondent reports that Isa JC is seeking a third term to represent Balanga/Billiri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives under the APC.
