The chanting of Allahu Akbar, (meaning Allah is great) ranted the air as the former governor of Kano state, Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau voted at his Giginyu polling unit in Nasarawa local government area of the state.

Shekarau, the minister of education arrived the polling unit with his supporters around 12.43 got accredited and voted at exactly 1.01pm.

Similarly, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje cast his vote at the Ganduje primary school around 1.02pm.

He said considering the turnout of people, he stand a very good chance of winning the poll.

Meanwhile, in other polling units in the state voting has commenced as the accreditations were completed on time contrary to what was experienced in the penultimate Saturday’s election when the exercise was delayed for many hours.
