Kannywood actors, Hadiza Aliyu Gabon and Mustapha Badamasi Nabriska have finally resolved to settle their issues out of court, Daily Trust on Sunday reports.
It would be recalled that Gabon was sued before the Kano Chief Magistrate Court by Kannywood comedian actor Mustapha Badamasi Nabriska over alleged assault.
The actress failed to appear before the court which made the Chief Magistrate Muntari Dandago of the court to order the Kano State Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Wakili to arrest her over alleged refusal to honour court’s invitation.
Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Kano had on Monday withdrew the arrest warrant against Gabon.
But a court order obtained by Daily Trust on Sunday has shown that the court has set aside the order after Nabraska withdrew his case against the actress after they reconciled.
The court withdrew the arrest warrant after Gabon’s counsel, Abdulfatah Muhammad filed a settlement application before the court.
The order reads: “That the earlier order made by this court (to arrest Gabon) is hereby set aside and if the invitee (Gabon) breaches the terms, this court will take legal action against her. Case is hereby closed.”
Another document termed “Terms of Settlement” in the matter between Nabriska and Gabon from the Magistrate Court and obtained by Daily Trust on Sunday also showed that both parties have sat, discussed and ultimately resolved their differences out of court.
The document added that the parties (Gabon and Nabraska) have agreed to put all their differences behind and “as a result Mustapha Badamasi Nabriska withdraws complaint (if any) against Hadiza Aliyu Gabon.”
The document also shows that both Gabon and her counsel and Nabriska and his counsel have signed the “terms of settlement” before one Kabiru Adamu Alasan of Magistrate Court, NomansLand of Kano on 20th May, 2019.
