Alleged murder: Court remands septuagenarian pending DPP advice

An Osogbo Magistrates’ Court on Thursday ordered that a septuagenarian, Pa. Bolanle Soladoye, charged with alleged murder, be remanded in IIesa prison pending legal advice from the State Department of Public Prosecutor (DPP).
The court also remanded Adeoye Sina, 38, and Bakare Fatai ,36.
The defendants were charged with conspiracy and murder.
The Magistrate, Mrs Olubunmi Ajanaku, who refused to take the pleas of the defendants, ordered the police to return the case file to the office of the DPP.
She adjourned the case until Sept. 10 for mention.
Earlier, the Prosecutor, Sgt. Fatoba Temitope, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on May 5 , at Oba-Ile area, Osogbo.
Temitope alleged that the defendants conspired among themselves, lured lured their victim, Ogedeungbe Emmanuel to work in their farm.
He told the court that the defendants allegedly killed him and cut his remains into piece in the bush.
The prosecutor said the offence contravened the provisions of sections 324 and 316 punishable under section 319(1) of the criminal code cap 34 ,vol. 11 laws of Osun, 2002. (NAN)
