Almakura: We need roads in Karshi

The events which ultimately led to your emergence as governor of Nasarawa State was never as a result of your own power but a demonstration of Allah’s will that manifested through the people.
Therefore this administration has no excuses not to bring fresh air and smiles on faces of Karshi people. I remember that, despite all odds, we gave you our support because we were satisfied with your personality and went headlong to fulfill your aspiration to lead the state to greater heights.
I also remember how TA’AL, your campaign acronym became a household name in Karshi and environs. During your campaign you promised the people good road and other social amenities which are seriously lacking in our community. There is only one road that connects Tudun Wada and passed through Karshi to old Karshi. This only road is in dire need of construction. The road is inaccessible, not motorable especially during the raining season. Each time it rains the road is left with potholes and gullies.
The community is predominantly inhabited by farmers whose livelihood depends on farming. The transportation of farm produce has become impossible and whenever possible the fares are too exorbitant for farmers to bear.
Interestingly, 80% of farmland is along this road and if well constructed would make it easier for farmers to transport their produce to the nearest market and town and also serve as good access into the community for vibrant economic activities and growth which will provide gainful employment of our teeming youths. This is our greatest plight and we believe in your abilities as our leader to fulfill your promises to your people.
We continue to pledge our loyalty to your Government as we are witnesses to the transformation taking place in the State. Your Excellency, please come to the aid of Karshi chiefdom and wipe our tears by constructing Tudun Wada – New Karshi – Old Karshi road. Long Live Nasarawa State.
