A forum of Yoruba members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the FCT, has inaugurated officials that will coordinate its activities ahead of the 2019 election in the council.
The forum, at the inaugural meeting, yesterday in Abuja, also swore in Awaal Muhammad, a barrister, who was elected as the chairman of the forum.
Speaking after his swearing-in, Muhammad said the platform was meant to serve the Yorubas and the general public in the territory.
He said Yorubas from the south-west were now in the main stream of politics through the effort of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
“So, at our own local level, we have to ensure proper organisation of ourselves. I call on everybody, especially the masses which this government of APC is more concerned about, to continue to support the government of President Muhammadu Buhari and also pray for his wellbeing,” he also said.
