The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. AbdulGaniyu Ambali, has directed deans and heads of departments in the university to make the necessary efforts to ensure that relevant departmental programmes that are due for re-accreditation scale through.
Ambali gave the directive recently during a tour of the faculties whose programmes are due for re-accreditation in order to ascertain their level of preparedness.
The next round of accreditation exercise is scheduled to be conducted by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in the next few weeks and some of the programmes due for re-accreditation are Business Administration, Accounting, Mass Communication, Political Science, Law and Engineering among others.
He noted that some programmes already possess interim accreditation status.
