Ambassador Abdullahi Atta’s autobiography goes to town

Ambassador Abdullahi Atta is one of the founders of the Nigerian Intelligence Agency, and the author of many professional publications related to his fields of diplomacy and intelligence.

This book gives an insight into the manner his polygamous family background and how his upbringing as a prince in the Ohinoyi of Ebira’s palace in Okene, Kogi State impacted on his character, his home, his career and his society.

The book titled “International Diplomacy and Palace Politics: The Memoirs of an African Prince” is published by Habiba Balogun Consulting.

Chief Emeka Anyaoku, former Secretary-General of the Commonwealth, stated in his foreward for the book that “The story is told in lucid prose beginning from his early years in his father’s palace in Ebiraland and his education in schools in Northern and South Western Nigeria, to his service in the Nigerian Railways, Federal Ministry of Finance and in the Nigerian Foreign Service where he reached the apogee of his career as Nigeria’s Ambassador to Cuba and later High Commissioner to Canada. And he capped it all with a distinguished contribution to the nation’s Security Services…. Ambassador Abdullahi Atta who celebrated his 82nd birthday in 2010 lives in Abuja, Nigeria with Hajia Amina Atta, his wife of 55 years.
