Ambode appoints Onibon MOCPED’s acting provost

The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday approved the appointment of Dr Nosiru Olajide Onibon as the acting Provost of the Michael Otedola College of Primary Education (MOCPED), Noforija, Epe. 

A statement from the Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Mr Obafela Bank-Olemoh, said the appointment was with immediate effect. 

Onibon’s appointment followed the demise of the former Provost, Professor Olurotimi Sikiru Akeusola, who passed on early this year. 

The acting provost also holds a doctorate in Arabic Language Studies from the International Islamic University, Malaysia, and has published many research publications and books.

Bank-Olemoh expressed confidence that Dr Onibon, given his qualifications and prior experience, would transition well into his new position as acting provost, and manage the affairs of the institution capably.
