Aminu appointed registrar of Federal University, Kashere

Kabiru Garba Aminu, the pioneer registrar of the Institute of Education, Kangere, in Bauchi State has been appointed the Registrar of the Federal University, Kashere, FUK, Gombe State.
The appointment, which takes effect from August 14, 2016 with a five-year tenure, was conveyed by the vice chancellor, Professor Alhassan  Mohammed Gani, on behalf of the governing council of the university.
FUK is one of the new federal universities established by the federal government  to increase access and ensure equity among all the states of the federation and the Federal Capital Territory in terms of the presence of federal tertiary institutions.
Aminu until his appointment has served in various capacities as Senior Assistant Registrar (Information and Public Relations Unit), Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi-2006-2009; Principal Assistant Registrar (Information and Public Relations Unit), ATBU, Bauchi-2009 -2010; Principal Assistant Registrar (Admin and Council Division)-2010 -2014 and  Deputy Registrar (Admin and Council Division)-2014.
He has at various times served as secretary to ad hoc committees which include Secretary, Search Team for the appointment of VC, ATBU, Bauchi –  2014 and Secretary, Taskforce on Stakeholder Town Hall meeting on TETfund Intervention in the Tertiary Education Sector in Nigeria (North East Zonal Event)- 3rd April, 2014
Aminu has received numerous awards with the recent ones being certificate of appreciation for commitment to  service by a United States-based NGO, Leadership Initiative (L.I) and letter of commendation by the immediate past vice-chancellor, ATBU, Bauchi, Prof. M. M. Hamisu, for dedication and commitment to service.
Aminu thanked the board for considering him for the post of registrar, assuring that he would contribute his quota to the growth and development of the university.
