Operatives of the Amotekun Corps in Ondo State have busted a notorious kidnap syndicate who lured, abducted and duped some Ghanaians.
The suspects were among over sixty other suspected criminals arrested for various offences by the security outfit in the state.
Parading the suspects on Wednesday before journalists in Akure, Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Adetunji Adeleye, said that the kidnap-syndicate lured 28 Ghanaians to Nigeria for a visa scam.
Mr Adeleye revealed that the suspects deceived the Ghanaians with a visa to the U.S., Australia, and Canada but later ended up in Nigeria.

According to the Amotekun boss, the suspects after duping the victims with a sum of $1,500 and $2000 will abduct and keep them at their hideout at Oda town in the Akure South Local Council Area of the state.
He also stressed that the victims have been able to identify the suspects who allegedly lured and kidnapped them.
“We’re able to break the ranks of some syndicate. It’s a 28-man syndicate that specialises in kidnappings, human trafficking and rustling in the state.
“They invite unsuspecting members of the public that they want to help them procure a U.S. or Canada and Australia Visa. Sadly, 28 Ghanaians fell victims.
“But the eagle eye of the intelligence section of the Amotekun Corps was able to pick them. We have 28 of them. We equally have those of them who were rescued by the corps and their families,” he said.
Parading other suspects, Adeleye said the Amotekun Rangers and Operation Daadaa, in collaboration with other security agencies, arrested another syndicate in Arimogija, border town between Ondo and Edo states for destroying critical federal government assets.
