Nigeria’s Tobi Amusan has won her second consecutive women’s 100m Hurdles final this season with gold at the New Taipei Athletics Open in Taiwan.
Amusan produced a majestic sprint and finish to seal gold ahead of Bo Ya Zhang and Yi Po-An, both from Taiwan.
Her winning time of 12.72s is a new meeting record in Taiwan, erasing the 12.80s effort set last year by America’s Nia.
Amusan did not break a sweat in the qualifiers and in the final, crossed the finish line in style while other competitors strained their muscles to the admiration of screaming fans.
She took full control of the race after clearing the fourth hurdle.

Her latest victory is the second win in two weeks, after securing victory at the Rabat Diamond League in Morocco.
The 29-year-old has been in form in recent meetings, and has claimed top-two finishes in her past three races, claiming first place on two occasions.
She is expected to take to the field again on July 4 at the Prefontaine Classic in Eugene, Oregon, US, the track where she set her world record time of 12.12s in 2022.
