An eleven years old nominee in the 2018 Afican Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA), Mariam Kayode, yesterday thrilled the audience at the Nominees and Sponsor’s cocktail party held at the Intercontinental Hotel, Victoria Island in Lagos and won a 55 inches Flat screen TV set and a DSTV Explorer decoder.

Miss. Kayode was a nominee in the Best Actress in Drama/TV series category in the movie “Children of Mud.” She won those prizes after coming second in a singing competition which was conducted by the Master of Ceremony (MC) of the event, Ikponmwosa Osakioduwa.

Few of the nominees who were present were called to sing for few seconds after which two winners emerged. The first position was won by Evelle, a nominee in Best Sound Track Movie/T.V series in the movie ‘Tatu’.

Evelle also went home with a 55 inches Flat screen TV set and a DSTV Explorer decoder, while other nominees that participated in the competition were also appreciated with other prizes by Konga.

The T.V sets were given by Konga.com, a title sponsor for the event while the DSTV decoders were presented by Multichoice.

Notable among the sponsors who graced the event are top executives from Konga, Airtel, Nokia, H2oh!, Sunlight and Heritage Bank etc.

Also in attendance were AMVCA nominees from different categories, alongside Nollywood celebrities, comedians and the crème-de-la-creme in the society.

The event also featured musical performances from various artists with comedy performances by Kenny Blaq and Seyi Law while DJ Sose was on the beat.

It will be recalled that the cocktail party was organised in preparation for the 6th edition of the AMVCA billed for September 1.
