The Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) have revealed that the 10th edition of the awards will take place on May 10 and 11, 2024.
The organisers also announced Femi Odugbemi, ace filmmaker, director, producer, and pioneer Academy Director of the MultiChoice Talent Factory, as the awards’ top judge.
Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa, MultiChoice Busola Tejumola, hailed the 10th AMVCA as commemorating a decade of creativity, innovation, and the sheer wonder of African storytelling on television during her welcome speech.
She also said that this year’s entries were assigned to the chief judge and jury, who had a large number of excellent submissions to go through.

She said, “For this edition, we received entries from films and talent across Africa. Shortlisting has begun, and we will soon move on to the judging phases. For this special edition, we are making changes to the award categories.
The categories of Best Actor, Best Actress, and Best Supporting Actor and Actress will now be determined by the jury.
