Some played it simple while others threw caution to the winds and unleashed their inner designer. We’ll let you decide who hit the mark on the night in our top 10 looks.
Iretiola Doyle
In this Frank Osodi number, AMVCA nominee Doyle exudes effortless charm. The choice of colour is bold and the embellishment of the corset makes this outfit stand out of the crowd.
O.C. Ukeje
Two time AMVCA winner is not new to the red carpet. The recently married actor looks the part in his blue suit by Ouch which he paired with Arthur George socks by Rob Kardashian.
Blessing Efiom Egbe
Ankara always finds a way to make it to the AMVCA red carpet. Last year, Uti Nwachukwwu rocked an ankara suit and this year, it is the turn of Blessing Efiom Egbe. The yellow, blue and brown pattern is definitely an eye catcher.
Rita Dominic
Ms Dominic is a lover of all things fashion, so, it came as no surprise when she chose to rock a custom made Lanre Da Silva Ajayi (LDA) dress. Her hair and make-up were also flawless
Zina Anumudu
The daughter of the fashion loving Nkiru Anumudu, Zina, rocks a Chidinma Obairi dress. The Grecian inspired dress works without any neck piece or earrings. Guess it’s all about the dress.
Nse Ikpe-Etim
You never go wrong in black. AMVCA winner Nse Ikpe Etim rocks a black number from Esosa’s. The whole outfit works but what we love most is her beautifully styled natural hair.
Denola Grey
Up and coming TV personality and host, Denola Grey, knows a thing or two about fashion and style – which he shares on his TV programme. And he walks the talk in his velvet blazer by McMeka. We love the colour and finishing.
Uru Eke
Uru went against the grain and opted for a white embellished jumpsuit. With minimal accessories and a plunging neckline, she completes the look by letting her hair down. Simple and chic.
Susan Peters
Our list would be incomplete if we did not feature Susan Peters. Styled by Toyin Lawani’s Tiannah Styling, her white ensemble is bold, daring and outlandish. Peters, who rocked a floral jacket and bowtie to last year’s AMVCA, got everyone talking again with her look which she has described as high fashion. Do you agree?
Kalu Ikeagwu
We are not sure who Kalu Ikeagwu is wearing but the grey and black patterned stripes on his traditional gear remind us of one of our superheroes – Spiderman, maybe?
