It is over a week since the arrest and eventual detention of a students’ leader and critic Comrade Aminu Harsanu Guyaba. He was arraigned before a court where he was charged for criticising the Governor of Bauchi State.

However, since then, several appeals and at some instances protests were carried out both virtually (on media platforms) and physically calling on the state government and authorities for his release.

To some, the arrest of Guyana is nothing but a demonstration of intolerance by his excellency.

Today, May 24, 2022 Aminu Harsanu Guyaba is celebrating his birthday in detention without the usual friends and relations that normally come with such day. What a pity?

Thus , like we did days ago, we want to remind his excellency that Aminu Harsanu Guyaba is his child who was there through thick and thin to see that his government came to power.

He played vital role in campaigning and securing votes for him.

We believe no matter his offence Guyaba deserves a better treatment from his excellency. Aminu could be seen as  a child that Kauran Bauchi can flog if he has done something wrong.

We believe and pray our cry will not go unheard.
