The press release is, to say the least, unethical, unwarranted and a clear indication that you have taken sides on the matter. This is more so because the said press release was e-mailed by the NBA to some Democratic Peoples Party [DPP] chieftains in Sokoto State even before it went public.

No doubt your unsavoury remarks and flagrant attack on the highest echelon of the judiciary in the country is uncharitable and not in accordance with the traditions of the bar.

 I am of the firm opinion that the Supreme Court is only carrying out its constitutional responsibility on the issue as such they should be strongly commended rather than being condemned. Your comments on the limitations of the administrative agencies in the judiciary are unjustifiable and have no legal basis with regards to the powers and functions of the agencies concerned.

Needless to say that as a very senior member of the bar, you should know that the matter upon which you commented is subjudice. Little wonder therefore, that most lawyers and some N.B.A branches have disassociated themselves from your comments [Me think this portends disunity for the revered body] and this is a clear indication that you are not speaking the minds of the majority of the lawyers in this country

Finally sir, may I humbly advise that you retract forthwith, the aforementioned comments and apologize to all members of the bar, the judiciary and the country as a whole.
