The award was issued to him by the National Book Fair Committee on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the National Book Fair (North) at the Cyprian Ekwensi Centre for Arts and Culture.

“It was a great honour for me because that is a way of celebrating me for what I have passion for because anything that has to do with reading, writing and the book itself is something I always go for. So if an award is coming to me from an organisation that is specifically in charge of books, I think it is a great honour indeed,” Dr Agada, who is also the Chairman of the Governing Board of the National Commission for Colleges of Education (NCCE) said.

He was honoured alongside the Minister of Education, Prof. Ruqqayyatu Rufai and Governor of Kano State, Mal Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso among others.
