The Association of Nigerian Writers (ANA) is holding its second ANA/AE-FUNAI conference and creative writing workshop in memory of the recently deceased Professor Pius Adesanmi.
Themed ‘Nigeria’s Literary Criticism in an Expanding Space of Creative Writing and Digital Production in the 21st Century’, the event is scheduled to hold from July 2 to 3, 2019 at Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike, Ikwo, Ebonyi State.
Four workshops, including poetry, prose, drama, drawing/painting shall hold simultaneously within the period of the conference. They shall, among other things, provide for professionals and writers to engage younger writers in creative enterprises.
The conference registration fee is N15,000, ‘early bird’ and N20,000 for those who register at the gate. The workshop registration fee, on the other hand, is N5,000, ‘early bird’, and N10,000 for those who register at the gate.
All intending participants are expected to send an abstract of not more than 250 words. Deadline for submission id April 30, 2019 and participants whose abstracts are accepted will be notified by the first week of May 2019.
Adesanmi was a literary critic, essayist, columnist, teacher, poet, and intellectual who died in a plane crash in Ethiopia on March 10, 2019
