Ahead of the November 6 governorship election in Anambra State, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has cleared a former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and an aspirant for the election, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo.
This is contained in the report of the screening committee signed by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Ifeanyi Mbaeri.
Eight aspirants bought nomination forms to contest for the primary election on the platform of the party.
APGA raked in about N176 million from the sale of nomination and expression of interest forms.
Others cleared were Damian Chibuzor Okolo, ThankGod Christopher Ibe and Christopher Okwudili Ezenwankwo
The screening committee, however, disqualified Ifeanyi Odera Ozoka, Nonso Okafor, Sullivan Akachukwu Nwankpo, Michael Chukwuma Umeoji, and Cater Nnamdi Dike Umeoduagu.
