On one hand there is the Andy Uba, Stella Odua and the Uche Ekwunife set, then there is the John Emeka, Annie Okwonkwo and Chris Uba set.
The party however submitted the latter set to INEC as the candidates of the party for the North, Central and South senatorial zones of the state, which led to a court action by the aggrieved side.
An Abuja Federal High Court in December 2014 upheld the Ejike Oguebego-led executive committee of the party and affirmed the Emeka, Senator Okonkwo and Chris Uba set for the three senatorial districts, only for the Appeal Court, Abuja Division, this year, to return Andy Uba, Oduah, and Ekwunife as the duly elected senatorial candidates.
Andy Uba and the two ladies have on the strength of the Appeal Court ruling continued to campaign but Emeka, Okonkwo and Chris Uba have appealed the judgment and it is before the Supreme Court.
This has kept both sides on the edge of the musical chairs.
