The Anambra State Police Command has arrested five suspected armed robbers terrorising the state.
The suspects are Emmanuel Amaechi, Innocent Onyedikachi, Obinna James, Chukwuma Edeh and Tochukwu Owor.
The command spokesperson, Haruna Muhammed, said in a statement on Monday that police operatives attached to the Command Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) arrested the five suspects in Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of the state following intelligence report.
According to him, the suspects conspired among themselves and snatched a Toyota Camry 2009/2010 model at gunpoint in Onitsha from one Nzube Udegbu on Sunday, August 4, 2019.
He also disclosed that the snatched vehicle has been recovered and the case is under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court.
