The Action People’s Party (APP) has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security agencies for their roles in the successful conduct of the November 8 governorship election in Anambra State.
In a statement issued on Sunday by its Interim State Executive Committee in Imo State, led by Hon. Ernest Njesi, the party praised INEC Chairman, Prof. Joash Amupitan (SAN), and his team for what it described as a significant improvement in the management of the electoral process.
The party lauded the “timely deployment of both sensitive and non-sensitive materials” and the “near 100 percent real-time upload of results” to the INEC Result Viewing Portal (IREV), which it said reflected the Commission’s growing commitment to free, fair, and transparent elections.
The APP also commended security agencies for what it called their “professional conduct” during the exercise, noting that their presence contributed to a peaceful and credible poll.
