There has been a spike in killings by suspected bandits.
Last Friday, a group of aggrieved protesters stormed the palace of Emir of Zurmi with corpses.
Some of the protesters said they were tired of how the gunmen have been assailing their communities without any intervention by the security operatives.
“We are being killed like rats. For how long can we endure this? There was a community they attacked for three consecutive days and no one cared to intervene. Are we not human beings? The authorities must hear this,” one of the protesters identified as Aminu said.
