There was confusion today at Polling Unit 019, Barde Ward, situated at Mohammed Tukur Primary School, Jalingo when angry voters chased out two serving commissioners over alleged move to induce security and INEC officials.
APC Observer, Kenneth Isuwa alleged that moves by the commissioners identified as those of Health and Tourism, to induce some INEC ad hoc staff and security personnel at the polling unit generated wild reactions from the voters.
It was further learnt that the angry voters pelted the commissioners and drove them out of the polling unit before normalcy was restored and voting continued thereafter.
The incident was promptly nipped in the bud following the intervention by detachment of military personnel who were drafted to the area to quell the situation.
Taraba Police Commissioner Nyats Jatau said he was yet to receive report of the incident.
