Annie Idibia, a popular Nollywood actress and the wife of legendary Nigerian singer, 2Baba, has revealed how her career was faring at the time she was featured in the video of one of the country’s most iconic songs, African Queen.
The smashing hit song, African Queen, was sung by 2Baba and released under Kennis Music in 2004. Ever since the release of the song, it has earned the singer and the record company numerous awards.

While promoting Smile, her husband’s new song in which she was used as the video vixen, the screen diva took a trip down memory lane as she revisited how she became the lead vixen in the African Queen music video about 19 years ago.
She mentioned that at the time, the singer born Innocent Idibia was known as Tuface.
In an Instagram post on her verified account, the ace actress noted that she was a struggling model when her then boyfriend asked her to feature in the video of a song that “would change the entire music scene in Africa.”
Part of her post read, “19 years Ago … while still struggling to find my feet in the modelling industry, my then boyfriend who just broke from a boy band group .. called me to starr in his new song (African Queen) we both had no idea the song would change the entire music scene in Africa and it’s narrative and also become the biggest song out of the continent.
“Fast forward to 19years later…. and almost 10years married to that amazing rare human ..artist … we get to do this again!!!! it’s #smileseason guys!! I hope this song and visuals by @ryguysa makes you smile. In the spirit of this #smileseason I am feeling generous this evening.. I would like to make a family smile this weekend.. any suggestions.” (sic)
