Anointed to succeed

Luke 4:18-21, “18The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, 19. To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. 20. And he closed the book, and he gave it again to the minister, and sat down. And the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him.
21. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”

Let us see the confirmation.
Matthew 4:23-24, “23And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people. 24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.”
The anointing is the Holy Spirit in action. It is the manifestation of the power of the Holy Spirit. He could be present and not doing anything. It is God’s instrument of carrying out His plans. It is what makes God succeed in everything He does. It is that aspect of divinity that enables the Word and plan of God to be fulfilled without fail. It is the divine endowment of the Holy Spirit.
Significance of the anointing
1. The anointing empowers you to carry out your divine assignment and fulfill your purpose on earth. It is usually released to carry out God’s will. That means the anointing will not operate in the life of someone who is outside of the will of God.
2. It is released to confirm and enforce the promises of God in the lives of those who believe.
3. The anointing is a crown; a crown of dominion, power, to reign in life. Leviticus 21:12, “Neither shall he go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is on him: I am the LORD.”
It enables you to rule and reign over devils, situations and circumstance, poverty and anything hell throws at you. The anointing makes you a winner. The anointing qualifies you to take control and take charge. When you are anointed, your word carries power and authority. The anointing on Jesus made him heal the sick, raise the dead and perform miracles with his word.
4. The anointing gives you access to your portion of your divine inheritance and generational blessings that are transmitted to your children.
Numbers, 18:8 And the LORD spoke to Aaron, Behold, I also have given you the charge of my heave offerings of all the hallowed things of the children of Israel; to you have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to your sons, by an ordinance for ever.
5. The purpose of the anointing is to heal and make whole spiritually, emotionally, physically. The anointing oil delivers the healing power of the Holy Spirit when used with faith.
James 5:14, “Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord…”
6. The anointing enables you to live without sin. It destroys the power of sin. Sin is contrary to God’s will for your life and the number one thing the anointing is meant to do is to break the power of sin in your life. This anointing is released via the word of God stored in your heart.
7. The anointing is the believers’ instrument of dominion and service. (Luke 4:18-19) It helps you to do the work of ministry.
8. It enables the believer to be a true witness of Christ and to win souls – Act 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
9. The anointing glorifies God. God’s name is glorified each time there is a miracle.
10. The anointing guides the believer. 1John 2:27
11. It delivers from satanic bondage. It delivers the oppressed and sets the captives free (Luke 4:18-20).
12. The anointing informs. I am anointed to know. Luke 8:10. The anointing enables me to know the mysteries of life and godliness. The anointing teaches me (1John 2:27). The anointing enables me to come into the realm of revelation. I am anointed to know!
13. The anointing transforms.
14. The anointing prospers. Deuteronomy 8:18
15. The anointing renews and refreshes (Acts 3:19).
16. The anointing takes the limits off. It is a barrier breaker (Isaiah 10:27).
17. The anointing protects. Psalm 89:20-23
18. The anointing enables us to endure difficult situations. It is the grace to go through hard times and survive and not be destroyed or backslide.
There are seven anointings in the Bible: Worship, Warfare, Preaching/Teaching, Prosperity, Healing, Deliverance and Service.
How the anointing is released
1. When the Word of God is spoken into a situation by faith.
2. Through the laying on of hands. When hands are laid, spirits are transferred. Be careful who lays hands on you.
3. Through anointed objects – like handkerchiefs or any other object. The Bible talks of special miracles that God did through the hands of Apostle Paul through handkerchiefs and aprons that were sent from his body (Acts 19:11-12).
4. By anointing with oil (James 5:14-15).
5. Through partaking in the Holy Communion.
To anoint means to consecrate to an office of religious service. It also means to furnish what is needed, to endow, or give authority or consecrate into an office. It also means to fatten, enrich or make rich, fertile, etc.
As a child of God the anointing is on you; claim it and walk in it every day of your life. You will succeed in Jesus name! I command every yoke in your life to be broken now in Jesus name!
