A 27-year-old man, Jonathan Agbaje, who defiled a 15-year-old girl was on Monday arraigned before a Badagry magistrate’s court in Lagos on a two-count charge of unlawful intercourse and defilement.

The prosecutor, ASP Ikem Uko, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on October 2, at Magbon in Badagry.

Insp Uko said the defendant lured the girl into his room and penetrated her vagina with his fingers without her consent and “also forcefully had an unlawful carnal knowledge of the child without her consent.”

The Chief Magistrate, Mr Patrick Adekomaiya, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to November 16. (NAN)
