A male resident of Dakata quarters, Kano state, Shu’aibu Shehu has been arraigned before a Senior Magistrate court, No Man’s Land for alleged store breaking and theft.
The offences, according to the First Information Report (FIR) contradicted sections 346 and 287 of Penal Code Law.
One Yusha’u Lawan, who reported the case to the police, alleged that the accused had broke his shop and stole 18 pairs of shoes worth N29,500 and a water pumping machine valued at N15,000.
During investigation, police had recovered two pairs of shoes from the accused.
When the charge sheet was read to the accused, he pleaded guilty for stealing of the shoes but denied that of the water pumping machine.
The case is expected to continue today (25th of October, 2017).
