Two days ago, four people died while eight others sustained injuries in a suicide bomb attack on worshippers at a mosque within the town.
The state police spokesman, DSP Edet Okon, said in a statement, “Yesterday (Monday), three suicide bombers who attempted to infiltrate Bama town through Ajilari area were sighted and challenged by security operatives. The bombers hurriedly detonated the IEDs strapped to their bodies, killing themselves only.”
