A Youth Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Director-General of the Youth Jagaban Network, Comrade Umar Jijiwa, has congratulated President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the leadership of the ruling party over what he described as the successful conduct of the APC Ward, Local Government and State Congresses across the country.
Jijiwa also commended the National Chairman and the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party for overseeing what he called a credible and peaceful internal electoral process.
According to him, the successful congresses demonstrate the party’s commitment to internal democracy, unity and organizational stability.
Speaking during the maiden meeting of the Youth Jagaban Network with young Nigerians, Jijiwa praised President Tinubu for what he described as mature, courageous and visionary leadership in guiding both the party and the nation through a period of reform and transformation.
He congratulated APC governors and the newly elected State Executive Committees that emerged from the congresses nationwide, particularly the State Youth Leaders.
The APC youth leader urged them to see their positions as platforms for national mobilization and political engagement.
Jijiwa stressed that youth leaders across the various states have a strategic responsibility to educate Nigerians both at home and in the diaspora about the policies, reforms and achievements of the current administration.
He noted that while the President plays a central role in projecting the vision of the government, the party must also take responsibility for effectively communicating the administration’s programmes and achievements.
“While Mr. President is the Chief Marketing Officer of Nigeria, the Party itself remains the marketing company responsible for communicating the vision, policies and achievements of this administration to the people,” he said.
Jijiwa further reiterated his long-standing view expressed in previous interviews that the outcome of the 2027 general elections would be largely determined by the performance of the current administration.
According to him, governance outcomes often shape electoral results, adding that the ongoing reforms under President Tinubu are designed to reposition Nigeria’s economy for long-term prosperity.
While acknowledging that Nigerians are currently experiencing economic challenges, he maintained that key economic indicators show that the reforms being implemented are laying a solid foundation for sustainable growth.
He highlighted several initiatives of the administration, including the student loan programme under the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND), which he said is expanding access to higher education for millions of Nigerian students.
Jijiwa also pointed to the construction of the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, describing it as a transformative project expected to boost trade, tourism and regional economic integration.
He further cited the government’s Presidential CNG Initiative aimed at reducing transportation costs and promoting cleaner and more affordable energy alternatives.
The APC youth leader expressed confidence that as the reforms continue to mature and their benefits become more visible, Nigerians will increasingly experience the positive impact of the administration’s economic and development agenda.
He therefore encouraged young Nigerians within the party to remain committed, organized and proactive in supporting national development while effectively communicating the Renewed Hope vision of the Tinubu administration across communities nationwide.
