Karasuwa said though the party was not able to retain a senatorial slot and one House of Representatives seat from Yobe Zone B, the party is still strong in Yobe. Speaking in Damaturu, Karasuwa said the APC won all elective positions across Yobe State during the March 28 elections except for a House of Representatives and a Senate seat  in Yobe Zone B.
“That tells you that the APC is on firm grounds in Yobe. We have won the election in all the local government areas except Potiskum town. The case of Yobe Zone B is peculiar and is limited to Potiskum town only.”
He said: “Remember that one PDP candidate in Potiskum was arrested by the Police after he stormed a polling unit with two thugs and stole two ballot boxes. We will take appropriate action on the basis of advice from our legal experts.”
