Addressing newsmen at the PDP national secretariat yesterday in Abuja, the party’s national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh, said the APC’s manifesto and ongoing campaigns across the country were deceitful, stressing that the PDP would continue to accommodate the shortcomings of the opposition.
The party said 90 percent of APC campaigns were attacks and insults on the ruling party with another 10 percent based on deceit.
The PDP, admitting it was not perfect, said that in spite of its imperfections, it was better than the opposition which it accused of attempting to derail the electoral process.
He said: “APC in one of its phantom promises said that it would pay a stipend of N5, 000 each to 25 million poor Nigerians monthly. This gives a total of N125 billion each month and N1.5 trillion every year. APC should explain to Nigerians how they would fulfil their promises with the prevailing 40% drop in national income and dwindling oil price in the international market.
