An All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Bauchi State, Dr Bala Maijamaa Wunti, has called for a level playing field for all contestants ahead of the party’s primary election in the state.

Wunti equally called on security agencies, electoral officials and party administrators to ensure transparent, free and fair process that truly reflects the genuine will and aspirations of party members in the state 

Wunti who made the plea during a press conference at the NUJ Centre Wednesday in Bauchi said that the APC primaries represents a historic opportunity to make a decision that will shape the political and developmental trajectory of Bauchi State for years to come.

Represented by the Coordinator of the Wunti Support Group, Comrade Mukhtar Jarmajo, Wunti said that the primary election remains one of the most critical stages in the democratic process because it is the platform through which party members decide who carries the collective hope, vision and mandate of the party into the main election.
