The immediate  past Administrator of Bassa Local Government Area of Kogi State, Zakari Samuel Alumka, has died in an auto crash along the Lokoja- Abuja highways.

City & Crime learnt that the politician died on Tuesday afternoon on his way to attend the just concluded All Progressive Congress primaries in  Abuja.

He is said to have contested the primary election of the party for the state House of Assembly to represent Bassa Local Government but lost.

He was appointed by Governor Yahaya Bello in May 2016 as one of the 21 administrators of local government areas in the state.

The late politician held the position for about four years before the government conducted the council elections in the state.
