Magoro and the others defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kebbi State as a result of disagreements over the process of the party’s primaries.
They were received during the formal presentation of retired Colonel Samaila Yombe, the APC governorship running mate and flagging-off of campaign and reception of new party members weekend, at the Zuru township stadium in Zuru, Kebbi State.
Speaking at the ceremony, Senator Ayuba said Magoro who was a member of the   PDP Board of Trustees (BoT), retired Colonel Mamman Manga and Colonel Abdullahi Dan’Asabe were delayed from attending the ceremony due to bad weather that prevented their flight from Kaduna to the Zuru airstrip.
He said Magoro has sent Hon Zailani Yauri to represent him.
He said their decision to leave the PDP was because of the injustice meted to them in the party.
“Magoro and many of us did not see any need for us to continue to be loyal to the PDP because the party has completely forgotten and betrayed those of us from Kebbi South,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Yombe the governorship running mate said the only way to relieve the state of any mis-governance, is to pool strengths together and face the general elections in unity as a party.
