APC registration: Ward chairman killed in Benue
the incident happened on Sunday in a Gboko hotel during the trainer’s training of adhoc staff

The Gboko South Ward Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Tersoo Ahu, is dead.
Daily Trust gathered that Ahu was killed at the venue of the party’s ongoing exercise in Gboko area of the state.
Trouble reportedly started during the training of ad hoc staff expected to carry out the party’s registration/revalidation exercise.

Some persons were said to have broken into a hotel at GRA, Gboko, demanding the criteria used for selecting the ad hoc staff.
Chaos
Before long, the situation became chaotic and resulted in a free for all during which the deceased was killed.
The acting State Publicity Secretary of the party, James Ornguga, confirmed the killing of the ward chairman, saying, “Mr. Tersoo Ahu, APC Ward Chairman for Gboko South was murdered today (Sunday) at the venue of our training for Membership Registration and Revalidation Exercise.
“We strongly condemn this act of violence in our party and we ask security agents to arrest the killers of the party chairman.”
The Police Public Relations Officer of the Benue Command, DSP Catherine Anene, also confirmed the incident, saying investigation was ongoing but no arrest has been made.
