The secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Gwargwada Ward, Kuje Area Council of the FCT, Abdullahi Bala, has died after collapsing on his way home from the farm.
His brother, Ibrahim Bala, said the incident occurred around 5.23pm on Wednesday. He explained that Abdullahi, who appeared healthy earlier in the day, had gone to the farm with two of his younger brothers.
“Abdullahi had just finished work and was walking back home with two of our brothers when he suddenly slumped. They held him and quickly called someone, who arrived with a motorcycle and rushed him to the hospital,” Ibrahim said.
He added that Abdullahi was confirmed dead on arrival. The deceased has since been buried according to Islamic rites.

APC chairmanship aspirant in the Kuje Area Council, Danladi Abdullahi Galadima, has expressed shock over the sudden death of the party’s ward secretary.
Galadima, who paid a condolence visit to the deceased’s family in his Gwargwada residence on Saturday, said he received the news of his death with great shock, adding that the deceased was a committed party member.
While condoling the family, the chairmanship aspirant urged them to accept the incident as the will of Allah, saying “every soul shall taste death.”
He prayed to Allah to grant the soul of the deceased eternal rest.
