The project, according to the organisers, is to bring together farmers, boost investment in agriculture and engender industrial revolution in the country through a joint programme of the All Progressives Congress and Rural Development (APCARD) and Nationwide Agriculture and Industrial Revolution (NAIRA).
A press statement signed by the secretary of the joint project launching committee, Musa Bako said that stakeholders in agriculture and cottage industries who are members of the APC initiated the joint programme (APCARD-NAIRA) dedicated to APC presidential candidate, retired General Muhammadu Buhari and his running mate, Professor Yemi Osinbajo.
The statement said that the project which is aimed at mobilising members of APC in the 774 LGAs in Nigeria to come together and boost investment in agriculture and rural development, would mobilise stakeholders in agriculture and the industrial sector and promote large-scale investment in agro industries in the country.
The statement added that the project launch is scheduled for March 8, 2015 and that the programme will include public presentation of 5000 bags of fertilisers and 10 tractors to agricultural cooperative societies, graduates, undergraduates and secondary school leavers.
