APC wins assembly seat in Bayelsa

The summary of results signed by the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner in the state, Mr. Baritor Kpagih, shows that the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Israel Goli won in Brass Constituency. He defeated the PDP candidate and incumbent Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Sam Ateki.
Other PDP candidates who emerged victorious include: Abraham Ingobere (Brass Constituency Three), Ololo Ben (Nembe Constituency One), Ingo Iwowari (Nembe Two) and Obiene Iniyobiyo (Nembe Three).
The rest are Mitema Obodor (Ogbia Constituency One), Naomi Ogoli(Ogbia Two), Salo Adikumo (Sagbama Three), Monday Obolo(Southern Ijaw Two), Daniel Igali (Southern Ijaw Three) and the Speaker of the House, Konbowei Benson(Southern Ijaw Four).
There was however no election in Brass Constituency 2 due to the insistence of some youths to see the ward collation results sheets before accreditation, while the election in Ogbia Constituency Two was declared inconclusive. Election into eight constituencies was rescheduled for Saturday, April 18.
Meanwhile, Dr. Macmanuel Parkinson who won the Yenagoa Constituency 1 House of Assembly election has dedicated his victory to God.
