APC women leader elected Council of African Political Parties president

The National Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajiya Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has been elected as the President of the Council of African Political Parties (CAPP) in Sudan.

The APC chieftain was elected   during the third general meeting of the council held last week in Khartoum, Sudan.

In her acceptance speech, the president-elect thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for his unwavering and unrivalled support for women, which has given Nigerian and African women the required impetus to attain greater leadership heights. 

Hajiya Ramatu thanked the development partners and sister organisations across the globe, particularly ICAPP for their support and goodwill towards the African continent and its political parties.
