Youths under the coalition of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Forum in Kano State yesterday described the deputy Senate president, Senator Barau I. Jibrin, as the catalyst of development in the state.
Members of the forum from the 44 local government areas of Kano State during their visit to Senator Barau at the National Assembly on Monday lauded him for his contributions to the state’s development.
The forum chairman, Hon. Adamu Mukhtar, announced plans for a campaign across all local government areas, noting that many youths from opposition parties are interested in joining the APC.
Senator Barau, while appreciating the youths’ mobilisation efforts, compared them to similar initiatives in the Second Republic. He emphasised the youth’s critical role in Kano and Nigeria’s future. He also stressed the importance of electing the right leaders at all levels to ensure victory and noted that youth would benefit the most from a successful APC government in Kano State.
Senator Babangida Hussaini (APC, Jigawa), Senator Muntari Dandutse (APC, Katsina), Senator Ibrahim Lamido (APC, Sokoto), and Rep. Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari of the Dambatta/Makoda Federal Constituency, who were present during the event, also praised Senator Barau’s commitment to Kano’s development, describing him as a senator for all, dedicated to the nation’s progress.
