Addressing a news conference in Abuja yesterday, Oji said elections did not take place in many voting centres in the constituency, while state officials with some compromised staff of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) hijacked voting materials and posted fake results.
He said: “During the said elections, there were incidences of use of thugs and some misguided soldiers to intimidate voters and beat up party agents resulting in injuries to many innocent voters and party staff.”
He said “there were cases of hijacking of result sheets at polling units where the count showed that the PDP were losing, with the INEC ad-hoc staff and NYSC members intimidated by the presence of the thugs and soldiers.”
