Apologise to Elechi, Ebonyi youths tell speaker

Speaking during a visit to the governor in Abakaliki yesterday, leader of the youth group Comrade Okorie C. Okorie also condemned the 2014 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) congresses and primaries held in the state.
Okorie, who attributed outcomes of the two exercises as the major causes of the political upheaval ravaging the state, called on President Goodluck Jonathan to urgently call those top Ebonyi indigenes in his cabinet to order.
“We call on Mr. Chukwuma Nwazunku and members of his ‘impeachment platform’ to as a matter of urgency apologize to Ebonyians for nursing the ambition of impeaching our hard working governor”, he said.
Responding, Gov. Martin Elechi appraised them for fighting cultism, examination malpractice and other social vices, calling on them to shun violence in the forthcoming elections.
