The Action peoples party (APP) says it received the news of the demise of Gwogwogwo Ngwo music crooner, Mike Ejeagha, with sadness.

In a statement by its National Chairman, Barr. Uche Nnadi, the party said Ejeaghas’ passing may have ended an era that began in the 60s and 80s in Enugu state “but as a party, the Action peoples party(APP), we’re committed to immortalizing the song while working towards the birth of a new nigeria beyond his musical exploits.

“As exemplified by the elephant, a symbol of our strength in unity, resilience in difficult times and breaking barriers of underdevelopment, We will march on in defending these legacies dear to his heart.

“We extend our deepest condolences to his immediate family, the government and people of Enugu led by his His Excellency Barr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, music fans worldwide and pray the lord Almighty grant them the fortitude to bear this irreplaceable loss.

“Adieu Chief Mike Ejeagha…Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo crooner, one of Nigerians’ finest!”

Daily Trust reports that Ejeagha died last week at the age of 95.
