Nigerian youths have been admonished to remain steadfast, self reliant and responsible in the society at all times.

The President, Court of Appeal, (PCA) Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa CFR, gave this advice, when executive members of the Northern Youth Council paid her a visit to honour her with the Icon of Hope Award recently. 

She also challenged them to be diligent while imbibing best practices that would make Nigeria a better society made up of resourceful and responsible future leaders.

 Justice Bulkachuwa, who said she was elated to have been so honoured by the Northern Youth Council by conferring her with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Sardauna Platinum Excellence Leadership Award, thanked them for their noble initiative. 

Extolling the virtues of the late Premier of Northern Nigeria, she recalled that Sir Ahmadu Bello, was a true statesman who made education a top priority during his time.

According to Bulkachuwa, the late sage, who, irrespective of his busy schedule, visited schools on inspection tour to have first-hand information on their academic performance, would sometimes, personally, teach the pupils.

High point of the council’s visit was the investiture of Justice Bulkachuwa to their Hall of fame as life member and presented her with a plaque and a gold medal.

Making the presentation, the President of the Youth Council represented by its Vice President, Comrade Faruk Mohammed, said that to the “teeming population of Nigerian youths, Justice Zainab Adamu Bulkachuwa was not just a mentor, but a personality blessed with integrity and unique hallmark which define her exceptional leadership role towards nation building.”
