An Osogbo Magistrate Court yesterday remanded an 18-year-old apprentice, Wasiu Wahab in Ilesa prison for allegedly stealing a drum from the church of Pastor Akintunde in Osogbo, Osun State.
The prosecutor, Inspector Abiodun Fagboyinbo, said the offence committed by the accused person was in contrary to and punishable under section 390 (9) of the Criminal code, Cap 34, Volume ll, Laws of Osun State, 2003.
Wahab sad he wanted to sell the drum to get money to eat since there was nobody to feed him. The accused person who didn’t have a lawyer also pleaded guilty to the offence levelled against him.
Magistrate Olubukola Awokunle ordered the accused be remanded in prison pending the presentation of the facts of the case by the prosecutor.
He adjourned the matter to September 19, 2017.
