The Oluwo of Iwoland in Osun State, Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, has asked Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), to approach all aggrieved Yoruba leaders, stakeholders and politicians for genuine reconciliation and compromise.

The monarch, in a statement by his press secretary, Alli Ibrahim, said the reconciliation move would make the contest a free ride and avert previous experiences by the Yoruba.

While urging Yoruba leaders, stakeholders and politicians to forgive one another in the interest of the land, the Oluwo beseeched them to harmonise their interest in favour of a Southern presidential candidate.

“I call on Yoruba leaders, stakeholders and politicians to write a new history of hope, brighter future and positive promises by forgiving each other. Without forgiveness, relationships will not give birth to promising children. I’m making this appeal with my crown to endure, entertain each other’s differences and cut the political curse on the Yoruba,” the monarch added.
